Love their breakfasts.
Always reliably excellent food, service, and home-y feel. It's just as if Grandma was cooking in the back. You've got to try the fresh baked banana walnut bread!
The food here was great, the staff was amazing, especially because we were such a large party. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the water tasted like mildew. I couldn't drink it and neither could several of my cousins. The other drinks tasted fine, however.
One of the BEST home cooked meals you will ever eat except at home. The staff is "family" and you are treated as such. Deb is the best. Thanks for being there.
Beachy locals restaurant, sidewalk seating or inside always good home cooking
Encinitas Cafe has been here for many years. It't not fancy, just delicious down home cooking. My favorites are their hamburgers and turkey entrees. Also, their banana bread is the best I have ever had. Yummy with any of their egg dishes. To end this with, come hungry, as the portions are large. Many of the waitreset have been there for a long time and they are a happy to serve you.
Great food, great atmosphere and awesome service. The prices are reasonable. It's very crowded Sunday mornings for breakfast
Good customer service
Definitely a breakfast spot to hit when you're in town. Food is great and staff is friendly. I upgraded to the banana walnut pancake for my breakfast and was certainly glad I did. It was so good. Sausage patties were flavorful.
Everything is delicious. We enjoy their breakfast. Great service. Extremely casual. *Park in the back
Oatcakes! I love oatcakes! Nice retro vibe of a coffee house from when we were kids. If you are craving Denny's, your not, your craving Encinitas Cafe.
Family run, consistent food, delicious. I recommend anything with turkey. They roast fresh turkeys for their club sandwiches, open-faced hot turkey sandwiches, Cobb salad. They have won local awards for the lima bean soup. The triple deck grilled cheese is my boy's favorite. Chocolate cake heated with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Kids eat free nights weekly. Wednesday, I think? Best burgers. They get their meat from Tip Top Meats. If I don't feel like cooking for Thanksgiving we have been known to go to the beloved Encinitas Cafe. It feels like home. I've been eating in this restaurant since I was a little girl and it was called the Coffee Mill.
I love this place. It's an Encinitas original that has stood the test of time. The staff is great and the food is authentic and very good!
Very good food
Love this place
Encinitas Cafe has been in Encinitas for a very long time and is one of the stable restaurants in downtown as well. I highly recommend going there for breakfast and if you're going on a weekend make sure you're prepared to wait for a table as they get very busy. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner under open fairly late. Their breakfast are definitely my favorite thing that they have there, but you can find delicious items for all meals. Unfortunately, there are not many vegan options but if you are vegan and you can still find something there (you might have to get creative though). The service is always good, and the time it takes for you to get your food is really not that long. I highly recommend going just so that you can know what this location is like to see something historical.
Great food, fair price, fast service and has outdoor eating area and is pet friendly
Great delicious food and service!
Great dinner! Our group grew from 7 people to 12 and our waitress handled it like a champ! The workers were all very friendly. The food was delicious. Totally recommend the turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich.
Great service, good food
All the food is good but, Take advantage of the specials,
Very friendly staff, clean and good oldies tunage playing in the background. The coffee and service was fantastic but I was a bit disappointed in the food. I got the huevos rancheros with beans. The beans are whole pinto beans, not refried, which is fine, but the beans were a bit cold and some of them hard or not cooked all the way. I will still definitely come back and become a regular due to the good atmosphere, service, coffee and excellent tunage. I'll just order something else next time.
Good food!
Comfort food with great service
Great food
Downtown Encinitas, low key nice relaxing cafe.
I have been coming here for years. I have been worried about something happening to this cafe because of the gentrification of Encinitas glad they still have this place
Great stop for some yummy dinner food. Great fries! Large portions, decent prices.
We had a good breakfast here - eggs Benedict was pretty good but not the best. I would order them again for sure.
Where everyone knows your name. Love this place. Hi bubbles.
I love this place. Sit at the counter. Or a booth for two by the window. Frozen in time, this cafe feels like stepping back decades. In a really lovely nostolgic way. With amazing food. And adorbs staff.
In one word: perfect! The turkey is the best I've ever had, the place is cosy and beautiful and very authentic. But the best is the service: the waitress helping us was delightful, answering all our questions, giving really good advice and making our experience perfect. We will definitely go back to this amazing place.
